Hello everyone! Today, I have some pockets filled with pretty little vintage findings to share with you. I have been holding on to the Pocket Envelope Die because I knew it was going to be at the top of my list for "favorite" dies (seriously, all Sizzix dies are my favorites!) so, I had to think of something special to do with it. I have to say, this little die has captured my shabby heart for sure!
Using the ATC & Corners Die, die cut four cards from kraft cardstock. Using the Pocket Envelope Die, die cut four pockets from kraft cardstock and two from Claudine Hellmouth Sticky Back Canvas.
Remove the backing paper from the pockets cut from the canvas, adhere to the kraft cardstock pockets. You now have two pockets from canvas. Using the Movers & Shapers Mini Hearts Die, center the bigger heart in the middle of the pocket and die cut.
Now, layer a doily on top of the other two kraft cardstock pockets, center the smaller heart in the middle of the doily and die cut. You now have four pockets - two from canvas and two from kraft cardstock.
Stamp the front of the pockets... I used the adorable Dictionary4me Clear Stamp set from Stephanie Bernard. They fit perfectly on the front! Machine stitch around the hearts (you could also hand stitch them) and around the front of the pocket on the canvas ones.
Adhere some double back tape along the bottom and side of pockets.
Assemble the pockets by overlapping the sides together and flipping the bottom flaps up... easy peasy!
Then, stamp your ATC cards and the top of the flaps on the pockets.
Using the Flowers, 3-D Die, die cut two small flowers from felt, assemble. Adhere a pearl and small rhinestone in the center of the flowers. Using the Flowers, 3-D Fringed Die, die cut two small flowers from patterned paper. Adhere the felt flowers to the centers of the patterned paper flowers. Adhere a piece of vintage doily onto the front of the canvas pockets, adhere the flower layers into the center of doily. Adhere lace and rick rack to the top of the pockets.
Using the Vintage Market Decorative Strip Die, die cut the letters to spell love and art and adhere to the bottom of the kraft pockets. Using the Movers & Shapers Mini Butterflies Die, cut both butterflies from felt. Adhere word stickers in the center of butterflies, attaching them with a mini safety pin and a mini clothespin.
On one of the ATC cards, adhere a square felt piece (I used some pinking shears to cut the squares out) in the center and then add some pins. Wrap some vintage lace around clothes pins and attach to one of the ATC cards by making it into a tag (punch hole in center and tie around clothespins with jute string). On the other two ATC cards, attach some vintage buttons.
I attached the pockets to some mini hangers or you could just give them away as cute little gifts!
You are now done... ENJOY!
